About the Khortytskyi district
The Khortytskyi district (Baburka) is Zaporizhzhia's newest and relatively isolated residential massif, with an orderly layout. It's valued for its ecology: thanks to the wind rose, factory emissions blow the other way, so the air here is among the cleanest in the city. The massif is separated from the rest of Zaporizhzhia by the Dnipro and linked by the new (Preobrazhensky) bridges. Housing is mostly "Czech-design" flats, 9-storey panel blocks and new builds; prices are mid-range, and the efficient layouts give a good price-to-comfort balance.
